Pump It Up

Today Brandon came home and announced, "I have a new pump!" To which Jacob responded, "Daddy, you can't pump. Only mommies can pump milk for babies!" Oh, our poor children. I've scarred them for life!

But it's true! Brandon got his first insulin pump today! He joins the ranks of other diabetics who swear that the pump has made their lives easier! He's full of questions on how to sleep, shower, play sports, etc. with this thing attached to him. Luckily he's got a handful of good friends with diabetes who use pumps to call for advice. So, to those friends - keep your phones handy! I'm sure you'll be getting a few phone calls the next couple of days. What a blessing it is to live in this day and age where such wonderful technology is available!!!
