My poor sister FINALLY had her baby yesterday . . . 10 DAYS LATE!!! Boy, was she a trooper! But my beautiful little niece was born yesterday, December 29th at 12:07 a.m. Madeline Eve (isn't that such a beautiful name) is 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 19 inches long. It seems that fast deliveries are going to run in the family. Ashley made it to the hospital with only 30 minutes to spare before Madeline was born. It makes me smile because Ashley always puts on such a brave front. She says a delivery without an epidural was great and she loved it! However, she struggled at the end of her labor because she was hyperventilating, and then screamed herself hoarse through the delivery! Hmmm . . . maybe it was a little harder than she's letting on! Anyway, we're so happy to have little Madeline here safe and sound, and thrilled that Ashley actually made it to the hospital . . . which is more than I can say about some people, namely myself!

A New Niece

congrats to the new mommie! i agree that delivering without an epidural is great. but most people think i am crazy! so, there you go!
Correction: Did not LOVE, but definitely thought it was a cool experience. Grateful I could do it quickly; it was definitely a positive experience. Nothing will ever hold a candle to your Jonah story, though!
